Cancellation and Refunds

Please read this policy carefully. By purchasing any formulas, AI credits, or subscriptions from Masala Recipe, you agree to the following cancellation and refund terms.

1. Digital Products (Individual Formulas)

• Due to the digital and instantly accessible nature of our proprietary Formulas, all formula sales are final.
• We do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges once a Formula has been purchased and added to your account under any circumstances.
• This absolute no-refund policy applies regardless of whether the final manufactured product matches your subjective taste expectations, whether it succeeds in your local market, or whether you successfully procure the required raw materials.
• While all digital formula sales are final, we will investigate and may, at our sole discretion, offer a remedy (including account credit or re-delivery of access) in cases where: (a) a technical error prevented delivery of the purchased Formula to your account; (b) a payment was processed but the corresponding Formula was not unlocked due to a verified system error; or (c) a duplicate charge was made for the same Formula due to a payment processing error. To report such issues, contact support@masalarecipe.in within 7 days of the purchase.

2. AI Formulation Credits

• AI credits purchased as ad-hoc top-ups or granted via subscription stipends are digital consumables and are available for immediate use.
• All purchases of AI credits are final and non-refundable. Unused AI credits cannot be exchanged for cash, refunded, or transferred to another account.

3. Paid Subscriptions

• 3.1 No Refunds: We do not offer prorated refunds for any unused portion of a paid subscription, regardless of the remaining tenure in the billing cycle.
• 3.2 Cancellation of Subscription: You have the flexibility to cancel your paid subscription at any time directly from your account settings.
• 3.3 Continued Access: Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to your premium features and accumulated AI credits until the billing period expires. After expiration, your account will automatically downgrade to the free tier.

4. Account Deactivation and Deletion

• Account Deactivation: You may choose to temporarily deactivate your account at any time. Doing so will immediately cancel any active recurring subscriptions to prevent future billing. However, no prorated refunds will be issued for the remainder of the current billing cycle. Your data and previous purchases will remain safely preserved until you log back in to reactivate.
• Account Deletion (Right to Erasure): You have the right to permanently delete your account and personal data at any time through your Danger Zone account settings.
• Forfeiture of Digital Assets: Because your digital purchases are licensed exclusively to your authenticated account identity, deleting your account is an irreversible action.
• Upon account deletion, you will immediately and permanently lose access to all purchased Formulas, active subscriptions, and unused AI Formulation Credits.
• No refunds, either partial or full, will be provided for any forfeited digital assets, subscriptions, or credits resulting from a voluntary account deletion or deactivation.
• Irreversible Loss: If you choose to register a new account in the future using the exact same email address after a deletion, it will be treated as a completely new, blank user profile. Any previously forfeited Formulas, subscriptions, or AI credits from the deleted account are permanently destroyed and cannot be restored or transferred to the new account under any circumstances.

6. Payment Disputes & Chargebacks

If you initiate a payment dispute or chargeback through your bank or payment provider instead of contacting us first, we reserve the right to suspend your account pending resolution. Initiating a chargeback for a legitimately delivered digital product may be treated as a breach of our Terms of Service.

7. No Cooling-Off Period

Because our digital Formulas are delivered and accessible immediately upon purchase, the right of withdrawal (cooling-off period) applicable to certain consumer transactions does not apply, as the performance of the digital service begins immediately with your consent.

8. Governing Law

This policy is governed by the laws of India, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, and the Information Technology Act, 2000. For disputes, refer to the Dispute Resolution section in our Terms of Service.
